The classic Off-Grid Solar Inverter has been around for quite some time.

Grid-tied

A Grid-tied Inverter allows you to switch between solar and grid power. When solar power is available, it will be used as the primary energy source. But when solar energy is low, it switches to grid power.

Grid-tied systems are ideal for homes or businesses that use most of their power during the day and want to substitute their grid usage with solar energy.

3 Phase

3 phase power supply requires a 3 phase inverter.

However, if you are looking for a 3-phase Hybrid Solar Inverter but can’t find the size you need, you can also use one single-phase inverter on each of your phases, so you’ll need 3 single-phase inverters if you want all 3 phases covered.

Buying the right solar inverter in South Africa is very important, but you’ll need to have a goal in mind when choosing one.

Hybrid Solar inverters can be used in Off-Grid and Grid-Tied systems. They are versatile, making them the best choice.

If you’re planning on adding solar panels to your load shedding kit at a later stage, the Hybrid Solar Inverter will be your best bet due to the blending capabilities of these inverters.

If you’d like to supplement your daily grid usage with solar power, a Hybrid is recommended again due to its blending capabilities.

However, if you are on a budget, with no plans on upgrading a Load Shedding Kit to a Solar Power Kit, then an Off-Grid Solar Inverter will work perfectly for you.
